I remember when this product was first launched on Wishtrend’s website, this was the one thing from Klairs that got me really excited and wanting to try. I just had a feeling I was going to love it. Almost 6 months later of using this Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin E Mask, it has become one of my top favourite multi-tasking skincare products and I would 100% repurchase when I run out.
PRODUCT INFO:
Despite the name, Klairs states this can be used as either a mask, sleeping pack or daily moisturiser. It is meant for all skin types, claims to maintain moisture for at least 8 hours and has 3 main ingredients – vitamin E, niacinamide and adenosine – which promotes brightening, anti-ageing, skin protection and regeneration.
This retails for USD27 on Wishtrend for 90ml of product.
As per Klairs’ skincare philosphy, this Vitamin E mask is vegan friendly, cruelty-free and omits parabens, silicons, alcohol and artificial coloring/fragrance.

Simple, but enough – sums up the Klairs brand and their products

Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin E masks comes in a clear jar with an inner cap and a spatula – with the pudding consistency it’s difficult to scoop out with your fingers
INGREDIENTS:
Water, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Tocopheryl Acetate, Niacinamide, Sodium Hyaluronate, Carrageenan, Gellan Gum, Betaine, Algin, Mannan, Ceramide NP, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Chlorphenesin, Arginine, Ethylhexylglycerin, Centella Asiatica Extract, Rubus Fruticosus (Blackberry) Fruit Extract, Salicornia Herbacea Extract, Phragmites Communis Extract, Adenosine, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Eucalyptus Globulus Leaf Oil, Pelargonium Graveolens Flower Oil, Citrus Limon (Lemon) Peel Oil, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel Oil, Cananga Odorata Flower Oil
Vitamin E – this is the main ingredient that the product is promoted for as it boosts the efficacy of Vitamin C and is intended to work hand in hand with the Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop. (It can however work with any vitamin C product). Vitamin E is a powerful antioxidant that absorbs free radicals, protects your skin against pollution and UV rays and thus provides anti-ageing benefits. It also helps to firm, tighten and moisturise the skin.
Niacinamide – I love this ingredient and am impressed it’s so high up the ingredients list. Niacinamide aka Vitamin B3 can be found in almost every effective brightening skincare treatment, as it is one of the best ingredients to help fade dark pigmentation and brighten your overall skin complexion.
Adenosine – another well-known ingredient for anti-ageing and reducing fine lines and wrinkles. It stimulates the production of collagen to keep your skin remaining plump and youthful.
SCENT/TEXTURE:
This has a really wonderful fresh fragrance. It’s hard to describe but to me its that type of bright scent that wakes you up in the morning. I can detect hints of lavender and citrus which makes sense since the mask contains lavender, lemon and orange peel oil.

Panna cotta, jelly-like consistency

Has memory shape texture – returns to its original smooth form after I stirred it
The vitamin E mask has one of those pudding memory-shape textures, whereby you can stir, poke and prod it as much as you like but it will eventually smooth over and return to its original form – similar to the Beauty of Joseon Revitalize sleeping mask. This Klairs mask is much thinner and lighter in consistency though; it is very much like a light pana cotta. If anything, it reminds me more of the Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Night Concentrate. When the product breaks down and melts it becomes very liquidy like an essence rather than a cream, so a little goes a really long way and it feels very wet and cooling when you apply to your skin. It absorbs fairly quick and leaves a slightly tacky feeling on the skin (which does go away after a time).
HOW TO USE:

The amount I use for my face – a little goes a long way
I like to change up how I use this and love that it’s such a versatile product.
As a morning moisturiser, I apply this in place of my daily cream, just before I apply sunscreen. It works well because its initial tacky finish creates a really good primer base for my sunscreen and foundation to grip onto.
I will also use this as my evening cream/ sleeping mask so this will be my last step in my skincare routine before bed. If I use this as a sleeping mask, I will put a slightly thicker layer on the nights I feel I need it, right after my serum steps. I don’t typically apply another moisturiser before this because I don’t feel my skin needs both.
I don’t use this as a exfoliating/wash off mask, because I think the product is so effective and awesome that it would be a waste to wash off the vitamin E goodness after only applying for a short period of time. I have many other wash off masks that I can use so I don’t use this particular product in that way.
THOUGHTS:
The Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin E mask is a truly great skincare product for my skin type, and although I was expecting to like this before I used it, I didn’t think I would be such a big fan of it. I would say I generally have normal skin that leans on the dehydrated side. In summer I get a very oily t-zone and in winter my chin/mouth area and sides of my nose can get dehydrated and show dry texture easily. I don’t usually suffer from flaky dry patches though.
I have been using this on and off over the past 5/6 months during the cold Spring and also the swealtering heat wave we’ve had the past couple weeks. Surprisingly, my skin feels very comfortable when I use this in both seasons. In summer it doesn’t make my skin very oily because it’s not heavy and occlusive. It does form a very thin film barrier atop my skin and that really helps prevent dehydration my skin is prone to getting midway through the day in either extreme heat or the cold. The film barrier does help my skin alot in cooler climates though, and when I use it as a sleeping mask I don’t wake up with my skin feeling parched or dry so it does provide enough moisture to rejuvenate my skin overnight (although I always use it in conjunction with toner, FTE and essences/serums).

When you first apply it sits and slides around on your skin so you need to break down the texture

The jelly texture turns more watery and essence-like as you massage it into your skin.

It is more like a spreadable, watery, essence/gel than a regular cream moisturiser.

Lighweight on the skin, initially leaves a tacky finish but absorbs and dries down quickly
Depending on how much you apply, it can give you a very dewy finish. It initially applies very wet though so once you’ve given it sufficient time (which is only a couple minutes) to absorb into your skin, you’re left with much more natural but hydrated looking skin.
I really enjoy using this at night because I find it does a fantastic job of brightening my skin in the morning and I wake with softer, refreshed and glowing skin. If I feel my skin is looking really dull and sallow, applying this overnight really makes me look brighter, rejuvenated and more awake. I haven’t as yet tried this paired with a vitamin C (which is probably the best way to use it to reap the efficacy and skin benefits of vitamin C and E together), so I can’t speak to how fast and effectively it can brighten dark pigmentation and spots. I do use it with other brightening serums etc, though and it does effectively brighten my overall uneven skin tone and calm the redness.
I just love this product because I feel it can adapt to whatever my skin condition is at the time. It neither makes me super oily on my t-zone nor does it lack enough moisture that I become extremely dehydrated and am left with tight skin. It strikes the perfect balance by being hydrating and moisturising but not too heavy that it messes with other skincare steps or disturbs my makeup over it. It also doesn’t feel super light like some other gel creams that disappear on your skin and leave you feeling as if you didn’t apply anything. (However, if your skin leans on the dry side, you may not find this keeps your skin hydrated for a full day, so you might want to mix it with a few drops of facial oil – I think this is what I’d do if I was using it during the Autumn/Winter months).
My focus these days is on using products that can brighten my skintone and provide the glow and radiance I crave, and I can say this Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin E is the perfect skincare product to help me achieve that.
I highly recommend this product which is available on Wishtrend here.
Great review! I have the Vitamin C Drop and now I’m convinced I need to get this one too!
