1st Jolse Haul/Lunar New Year Sale

DSC_0537

Last week, just before the Lunar New Year period, Jolse.com were having a sale with all products up to 20% off. I’ve never ordered from them before so I thought now would be a good opportunity to try them since I needed to stock up on some products.

Jolse are an online Korean beauty store that are based in South Korea. My usual go-to place to buy online is ibuybeauti (IBBI) but I’ve been very impressed with Jolse for similar reasons. During the sale a lot of their prices were very similar if not a few dollars cheaper than on IBBI, and they are fuss-free, have good promotional offers and offer free worldwide shipping.

What I like most about Jolse however, is that they are super generous with their samples. I ordered 10 items but got soo many extras! They provide free samples with all orders but typically, the more you spend the more gifts they give. If you spend over USD150 they also provide free EMS shipping which is super quick.

I placed my order Tues 2nd Feb and it was shipped after just two days on Thurs  4th. I got a confirmation email that my order had been received and also another when it was sent out. I received my package on Mon 8th Feb. Less than a week to complete entire order. Super impressed.

So onto what I bought:

10 products in total

  1. Innisfree Blueberry Rebalancing Skin:

I have a lot of foam cleansers which aren’t pH balanced so I always look for toners that have a pH of about 5.5 to get my skin back to the optimal pH after cleansing.  Innisfree came out with their Superfoods collection – Blueberry, Red Beet, Broccoli, Kale and Oat – and I loved the look of the Blueberry rebalancing line. It even smells faintly of blueberries. It comes in 150ml but I was surprised how small and compact the bottle is. It’s actually quite cute. Smallest out of all my other toners but this will make it really handy for travel.

2. Innisfree Green Tea Sleeping Pack:

I’ve been loving the Laneige sleeping mask and working my way through it since October so I figured it was time to try a new one. I’ve been wanting this one for a long time because I love anything green tea related and packed full of antioxidants. I’ve tried it a couple times already and I really love the scent, texture and the little white balls within the cream that melt as your rub it onto your face. It doesn’t feel too heavy but provides just enough moisture.

3. Innisfree White Tone Up Eye Serum:

I bought two eye creams because I ran out of my last Mizon snail eye cream and couldn’t pick between the two Innisfree ones. This is called an eye serum but I just consider it as an eye cream. Heard good reviews about it brightening the eye area and since it contains niacinamide I couldn’t not get it.

4. Innisfree Whitening Pore Eye Cream:

This is a fairly new product  – released early last year – and so there weren’t many reviews on it. It claims to brighten dull and uneven skin tone and firm the sensitive eye area so I figured I’d give this line a try since my eyes have been looking more panda-like recently. I’ve tried if for a few days already and I’m really liking it so far. It has a silky texture, very moisturising but not heavy and smells like ginger tea. I’ll have to test it for longer to see proper results but I feel like in just a couple days it has helped my eye area look more awake and lightened the small under eye circles.

5. Laneige Two Tone Lip Bar:

No.7 Cashmere Nude & No.4 Milk Blurring

I really like the concept of having one lip product with 2 colours to help you achieve the gradient lip look that’s so prevalent in South Korea. I don’t own a nude lipstick so I went for cashmere nude which I’ve tried once and absolutely love the look! Also got a red and white combo which I haven’t yet tried but was one of the most obvious gradient combos and a nice classic shade of red.

6. Missha M Soft Blend Stick Blusher:

No.2 Rose Pink & No.5 Mud Brown

I already own this in the highlighter shade and I like the concept and ease of use. It’s a creamy stick that has a short dense brush on the other side for blending and buffing. I got a pink blusher and a brown contour shade.

7. Etude House Lovely Etti Hair Band:

This is so cute. It’s a soft hair band which has pointy cat ears haha. This is so useful to keep my hair out of my face when I’m removing makeup, washing my face, applying skincare and even for when I put on sheet masks. I wish it came in more colours though because the white can get dirty easily especially when foundation transfers onto it.

8. Cosrx One Step Pimple Clear Pads:

I got these which contains 70 single use gentle exfoliating pads for my bf as it helps treat troubled acne-prone skin. Contains 1% BHA which helps remove the buildup of sebum and clear existing pimples and blackheads. I’ve tried this once and it’s very gentle and doesn’t dry your skin out so it’s suitable for sensitive skin types. One side is textured and the other side is smoother.

Lastly, all the samples I received:

So many samples! 🙂 So excited to get socks! Haha. Also got Cosrx acne pimple master patches for free because it came as a deal if you bought the clear pads. Other freebies included the full size shea butter hand cream, the Jolse collaboration hair tie, a sheet mask, Cosrx stickers, 1 exfoliating shower glove, a charcoal nose strip and lots of sample sachets from TonyMoly, Etude House, Cosrx and Lioele.

I’m really pleased with this haul and although Jolse prices are generally a little higher than other sites, I think it’s really worth it for the fast shipping, great customer service, lots of free samples and promotional offers. These sites also regularly have sales on so I’d definitely purchase from Jolse again when they have another.

Oo hope you get yours soon! Haha yeah I do love these stripey socks. I think if your order is over $100 they will definitely give the socks.
